About the songs:
Bint a Shallabiya – thought to be a song about “The Girl from Seville.” It is considered an old folk song,  likely from Syria
Chiftatelli – a Turkish song and dance
Colombianas – a popular flamenco form, this particular song is from Jimenez Rejano
Al Noor – likely an Egyptian melody
Djellem – the Romani anthem, by Zarko Jovanovich in 1949
Lamma Bada – a 14th century song from Moorish Spain
Rani Melit – an Algerian song from the “Rai” genre, original arrangement
